About

I am Dennis Biswane, independent IT consultant and owner of SoulBit. My field is the Microsoft workplace: Intune, Entra ID, Defender and Azure.

Experience

I have worked in IT since 2007. For more than twelve years I was an IT administrator in education, across several locations. I migrated Active Directory from Windows Server 2003 to 2016 and managed the workplaces with Configuration Manager and Jamf Pro.

After that I worked for four years as a senior engineer at an IT service provider. I migrated complete environments to Microsoft 365, set up cross-tenant synchronization in Entra ID, configured Intune and Conditional Access for various customers and connected networks in Azure to their sites.

Since November 2023 I have worked independently under the name SoulBit, for organizations in fields such as business services and manufacturing. I set up workplaces with Intune and Autopilot, build self-service tools for users and the service desk, and make the patch status and vulnerabilities of devices visible. I also manage environments with Azure Virtual Desktop and strengthen security with Defender for Endpoint, Conditional Access and the phasing out of legacy protocols.

I package apps with PSADT and automate a lot with PowerShell. One example that is public: a script that updates NVIDIA drivers automatically, to deploy as a Win32 app in Intune.

The blog

I write the posts on the blog together with AI. Posts labeled “SoulBit AI” are drafted by AI assistants, based on official sources from Microsoft and Apple that are listed under each post. I read and check every post before it goes online, and I remain responsible for its content.
