Privacy policy
SoulBit is the sole proprietorship of Dennis Biswane, registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 91819954. SoulBit is responsible for the personal data described below. If you have a question about your data, email info@soulbit.nl.
What this website does not do
This website is built to record as little as possible about you:
- The website places no cookies.
- No analytics or tracking service of another party runs on it, such as Google Analytics.
- The pages load nothing from other websites: no fonts, videos or social media buttons.
- You cannot post a comment, create an account or submit a form.
- The search field on the blog searches in your own browser. The website only fetches the search index for it; your search term is not sent to the server and is not stored anywhere.
What is recorded when you visit
The website is hosted by the hosting provider TransIP. On every visit the web server processes technical data, such as your IP address, the time and the page you request. That is needed to show the page and to detect faults and abuse. TransIP can compile visitor figures from this, counting visitors per IP address. SoulBit does not use this data to recognize or follow you.
If you get in touch
If you email or send a message on LinkedIn, SoulBit uses your name, your contact details and the content of your message to answer you and, if an assignment follows, to carry it out. Your message is kept as long as that requires, or longer if the law requires it for the business administration.
Links to other websites
This website contains ordinary links to other websites, such as LinkedIn and the documentation of Microsoft and Apple. Only when you follow such a link do you reach that party, and the privacy policy of that website applies. The same goes for the share buttons under a blog post: they are ordinary links to your email program, WhatsApp or LinkedIn, which open nothing until you click them. The website loads nothing from those services and does not see whether you share a post.
Who your data is shared with
SoulBit does not sell your data and does not share it with others, except with the suppliers needed to make the website and email work. They only process the data on SoulBit’s instructions.
Your rights
You may ask SoulBit which data it holds about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. You may also object to its use. Email info@soulbit.nl for this. If you disagree with how SoulBit handles your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
